Submitting Your Resume
Rule

You may send us your resume and additional information by fax, e-mail, or regular mail. See "How to Contact Us" under Ferree & Associates for complete information. Be sure to include at least 3 specific accomplishments for each position you have held. In addition to your resume, we ask that you provide us with a list of work and professional references, your salary history, and a summary of your management style and goals. The information you provide will start you thinking about your career. Your thought process will enable you to better tell us exactly what you are looking for in your next position. That way we won't waste your time calling you about opportunities that you are already over qualified for. How We Work covers what most potential employers are looking for in the way of experience.

How About Skills?

All potential employers are looking for people who can explain what it means to be a team player. That includes how you teach people to become team players, how you demonstrate leadership skills, how you motivate people, what it means to you to be a mentor and how you have demonstrated that skill at previous employers.

Have you promoted people?
How many? Into what positions? Did they succeed? When you had to fire someone how did you actually do it. (It is one thing to know the steps. Actually pulling it off successfully is a lot tougher.) Have you successfully salvaged employees who were about to get fired or laid off? How much of the above you have actually done depends on where you are in your career. Whether you have done most of it or not, employers will be interested in knowing what you have done.

When it comes to technical skills potential employers will expect you to DEMONSTRATE solid knowledge. Remember, when they receive a resume from us they expect you to already be in the Top 20% of people who are at the same place in their career as you are.
